Why ACT

  • ACT is designed to test what the student has already learned in school; therefore the questions are more straightforward and less tricky.
  • ACT is wholly multiple choice, and does not have a penalty for wrong answers.
  • Some colleges do not require additional subject tests if the student takes ACT.
  • In most cases, the student decides which score to send and can choose to send only his or her top scores. This is beneficial when trying to make as best an impression as possible for a competitive school.
  • Be sure to check the admissions requirements - not all colleges accept ACT.
